| 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful  a little flaky, you NEED the weights, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Century Heavy Bag and Speed Bag Platform (X-Large, Black) (Sports) I got this so that I would not rip the ceiling off my garage with a heavy bag. It is a good stand, but you MUST use (at least) an additional 2 plates of 45 pounds on the sides and two 25 pound plates on the back peg for it to be steady while you punch the bag. Else it slides and skits all over the place. My buddy actually bolted it down to the floor and that worked out best.But if you do not want to make wholes on your garage floor (bolting this thing down is a mission!) The extra weights will run you at least $125 plus sales tax at a sporting goods store since Amazon does not sell weights, add to that the $40 speed bag, the $60 heavy bag, and the $25 anchor, and this is really becomes pricier than first imagined. I spent a total of $400 before I can throw my first punch at it, but it is a complete solution. Still, it is a good product, 3 stars worth, I wish it would be more solid, because even with the weights, the stand still sometimes wobbles with a hard... Will only give it 4 stars because the speedbag stand has a built in mount. My speed bag has its own mount so now i have o buy another speed bag. I cant remove the mount because it is made of particle board and we all know its not a good idea to remove stuff from particle board once it has already been put there. Other then that its a solid piece of equipment. |
