So to anyone out there that is wondering about this heavybag stand, it is AWESOME. Yeah its a little expensive compared to most, but if you're looking for something like I was that doesnt have legs that get in the way and can support a lot of weight or a tall bag (I have a 6ft 100-120lb bag), this thing does the job perfectly. Its pretty big, but it is very sturdy, and works great if you dont want to put holes in your ceiling and hang a huge bag from it. Overall very satisfied, would definitely recommend it. 6 of 6 people found the following review helpful By Thomas (Sherri's husband) "BeeMan458" (Magalia, California) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Century Corner Man Training Bag (Sports) I've had this punching bag stand for four months now with a hundred pound bag hanging from it.First impression: Wow! Very well made. Professionally finished. Nicely packaged as the individual pieces come packed in two boxes and each individual piece is shielded in a plastic protective bag. Total assembly; nine pieces with included hardware. Unit comprises of nine, easy to assemble, medium gauge, welded tube metal pieces, complete with black bolts, washers, locking nuts and black plastic end caps. Assembly time, including torquing the bolts, less than an hour. Assembly can be done by one person. It doesn't hurt to have a bit of assembly experience but an experienced person with mechanical assembly experience, can easily assemble the unit on their own. Note: 1. The first thing I did was drill a couple of holes in the overhead bar about twelve and eighteen inches back from the end of the bar the bag hangs on. This was done to change the distance the bag... I looked at a variety of stands and yes many are smaller and cost less, but after a little research. I came to realize that it would take close to three hundred pounds of weight to keep the smaller stands stationary. I did the math and to buy steel weights in that amount would clear the difference and then some of the cornerman. I don't know about you but when I get going on the bag I tend to get a little carried away sometimes and don't really see toes and heavy steel doing very well together. It gives you a lot of room to move around while you're working out, and takes up practically no space in the room you put it in minus the spot where the bag is hanging. For the most part solid construction. The plastic end caps fall out when you really get the bag moving but that's only cosmetic, after the first time I just went ahead and through them in the corner... Read more |
